Angel Disease

wings, amputated -
they wither and rot .
gold dust is scattered -
it was all you've got.
gold dust to cover
the remains of the sun -
molten lead seas and
green earth becomes one.
on angel corpses
the maggots thrive -
soiled by the touch, a
shard is alive.
the walls made of pain
are closing in -
gold dust is then swept
up into the bin.

Summertime

incessant buzzing.
honey-thick air.
hope is dissolving
in the sweaty glare.
barred from love, the cell
is full, yet bare.
dream of the dancing
in the solar flare.

Thus Spoke The Prophet Of The Religion Of Beauty

some beauty is red,
some of it pale,
some of it lilac,
ironclad, or frail.
but beauty is beauty -
uncountable, free.
so do your own thing
to follow me.

July 5, Morning

after the fireworks
the ashes fall.
what is forgotten?
what was the toll?
would they recognize
still their big dream -
under the fireworks
are we what we seem?
eagle eyes stare at
my weary heart -
we're still together
in falling apart.
this rhythm got stuck in my head, so this is how my words came out...
